Fabricating Machine Sales (FMS) isn’t just a machine tool distributor—it’s a veteran-owned small business built on a foundation of integrity, reliability, and a commitment to doing right by the customer.
Founded in 2002 by U.S. Navy veteran Chuck Thomas, FMS exists to provide fabricators with the right machine at the right price—not a one-size-fits-all solution. Chuck’s vision has always been to build something lasting, both for his family and the manufacturing community. That’s why FMS focuses on long-term partnerships rather than quick sales. If we don’t have the right machine for you, we won’t push the wrong one—we’ll help you find what truly fits.

Chuck’s journey into the machine tool industry began in 1984 as an Electronics Technician aboard the USS Nassau LHA-4 (which he jokingly calls the “USS Never Home”). After an honorable discharge in 1990, he built a civilian career working for leading machine tool brands, rising through the ranks as a Field Service Technician, Quality Manager, Product Manager, and National Sales Manager.
With a family history woven through cotton mills, manufacturing plants, and fabrication shops, Chuck knew firsthand what fabricators needed: machines that delivered on performance without breaking the bank. That vision led him to start FMS in 2002, and in 2010, FMS launched its own line of FMS-branded Press Brakes, Shears, Plate & Angle Rolls, and Band Saws.

Expanding Solutions: Rebar & Solar Machinery
Through partnerships with trusted international manufacturers, FMS has expanded its fabrication machinery offerings to include rebar and solar equipment. These machines are relied on in over 90 countries and are supported by a global network of sales and service professionals.
